Tuscany silk quilt batting is made from a very fine, clean imported silk, which is then carded with state of the art carding machines and resin bonded to help reatard bearding and allowing the batting to be handled like a blanket. Unlike some other silk battings it need not be handled with gloves or encased in cheesecloth. Silk fiber is more expensive than similar man-made fibers, therefore silk batting is expensive but will satisfy even the most discerning consumer. Silk batting is lighter than down but is just as warm, is supple and fluffy and drapes like no other batting.
